Welcome to the WslDock project dossier. This is where I document the complete journey of building WslDock - from initial concept through implementation challenges to final release.

Follow along as I share technical decisions, architectural patterns, and practical insights gained while developing this background utility to keep wsl instances alive with integrated service bridging.

This project is currently in planning phase. Explore the articles below to see the evolution and lessons learned.

WslDock

A minimalist Win32 tray application designed to maintain persistent WSL VM states, preventing the automated shutdown of Linux instances during idle periods.

WslDock serves as a tactical anchor in the Windows system tray, ensuring that development environments remain mission-ready. Beyond mere persistence, it provides a stable foundation for background tasks, such as maintaining SSH agent tunnels and orchestrating seamless connectivity between host and guest environments.

Built with a focus on resource efficiency and direct OS interaction, WslDock follows Clean Architecture principles to provide a transparent, low-overhead solution for long-running WSL workloads.
